Wild Soul is the barbarian answer to the wild magic sorcerer, you get random magical effects whenever you rage (all of them good in some way) and even get detect magic as a barbarian! I saw a nice simple variant where Wild Magic surge triggered if you rolled 1/2 the level of the spell cast (rounded up) or less. So level 1-2 spells, you'd Surge on a roll of 1. Level 5 you'd surge on a roll of 3 or less. I'm testing one out for Tides of Chaos that just increases your chance to Wild Surge if you've used it to gain advantage.
